3 Men From Nailsea Set to Drive a Tuk Tuk the Length of India!

3 men from Nailsea are driving a Tuk Tuk the length of India to raise money for 4 great charities!

Aptly named ‘The Great British Tuk Off’, Rob, Ed and Ryan, are set to drive a rickshaw 3000km (1865 miles) from Jaisalmer to Kochi in just 2 weeks!

It’s a challenge the friends have been contemplating for several years, and now they’ve finally decided to bite the bullet and sign up for April 2019.

Starting near the Pakistan border in the North West corner of India, the friends haven’t planned a specific route, haven’t a back-up plan, nor do they have any additional support – they’re solely relying on their 3-wheeled vehicle with a 7-horsepower engine to get them to Kochi 14 days later.

Why?

Although the men are expecting a fun and memorable 2 week journey of breaking down and getting lost in 40°C heat, the main reason for this adventure is to raise some money for their chosen charities:

Cool EarthA UK-based international NGO that protects endangered rainforest in order to combat global warming.

Cancer ResearchFunding scientists, doctors and nurses to help beat cancer sooner.

Alzheimer’s SocietyA care and research charity for people with dementia and their carers.

CLIC SargentThe UK’s leading cancer charity for children.

They’ve all had their lives directly affected by at least one of these causes, and are hoping to raise as much money as possible.
