Minecraft mornings during the school holidays
Bridging the Gap Together! working with Nailsea Town Council and No 65 High Street Nailsea are proud to announce that they are hosting four mornings of Minecraft during the school holidays in February, April and May.
We expect these events to sell out very quickly as Minecraft is really popular, and places are limited and must be pre-booked. These events are open to residents of Nailsea or those who attend one of the schools in Nailsea who may live outside the area. The Minecraft sessions with be held for young people and parents at No 65 High Street, Nailsea on:-
• Thursday 20 February from 10am to 12.30pm,
• Thursday 10 April from 10am to 12.30pm,
• Thursday 17 April from 10am to 12.30pm, and
• Tuesday 27 may from 10am to 12.30pm
Bookings for these sessions need to be made through the Bridging the Gap Together website. The Minecraft sessions are run by Neurodivergent team members who have played Minecraft. Mum and Dad can sit and relax knowing that the young people are safe, and have a cup of tea or coffee while being able to talk with other parents, or go shopping when they will be asked to leave a phone number just in case we need to contact them.
There is a booking fee on £2.50 to attend the events. We have a limited number of devices that can be used, or you can bring your own device to play on. Bookings are password protected, the password to book can be obtained either from your school or 65 High Street.
You must have a registered Microsoft account to play Minecraft. We support both Java and Bedrock games on the same server. You will be given the IP address and port number on the day to access the world; the server will be turned off at the end of the session. Trudy Hollow, Manager of No 65 High Street Nailsea says “The Minecraft activities during the school holidays are a great opportunity for young people and parents to come along to No 65 High Street for a great game of Minecraft with others and for parents to have a cup of tea or coffee and a chat with other parents.”
