Get Ready for Summer – Join us in our Community Litter Pick.

It’s the first day of Spring on the 20 March 2025 and Nailsea Town Council are planning to make Nailsea look spick and span with a spring clean by organising a Nailsea Community Litter Pick.

We are asking the public to join us to clean up Nailsea and make a difference in your community, helping to keep our parks and public spaces clean.

• Date: Saturday 29 March 2025

• Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

• Start Location: Nailsea Community Larder, 26 Somerset Square

• Focus Areas: Stockway South and North, Brockway, Millennium Park, and Skate Park

• Equipment: Provided by the organizers Nailsea Town Council and Nailsea Community Group

We also encourage residents taking part to bring along their own litter picking equipment if they have any and particularly gloves.

Cllr Karen Bird, Chair of the Environment & Leisure Committee of Nailsea Town Council organising the Nailsea Community Litter Pick, says “It is the tenth Great British Spring Clean between 21st March and 6th April, and the Environment & Leisure Committee are keen for you to join us to help Nailsea get ready for summer. Help us make a difference in your community by keeping our parks and public spaces looking lovely. Meet us at the Nailsea Community Larder at 10 AM on 29 March 2025. Equipment is provided—just bring your enthusiasm and litter picking equipment if you have any!”

There will be stickers for young attendees to recognize their efforts. Anyone helping will also have a chance to be featured on any subsequent publicity as ‘Community Heroes’

#LoveWhereYouLive 💚 86% of last year’s #GBSpringClean volunteers said that after taking part they felt part of a national movement to tackle litter. That’s why we are taking part in @KeepBritainTidy’s #GBSpringClean, from 21 March – 6 April this year.
