Kayaking 4 Cancer Charity Event

Nailsea based kayak designer and manufacturer, Channel Kayaks, have partnered with Cancer Research UK to run a fundraising event, Kayaking 4 Cancer.

Kayaking 4 Cancer (K4C) is an annual event that aims to raise funds to fight against cancer whilst having fun. The first K4C event took place in 2016, and with growing popularity, it has raised thousands of pounds since.

This year’s event is taking place on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th May 2018 at Wimbleball Lake, Nr Dulverton, a fresh water reservoir, with a circumference of approximately 9.3 miles. The lake is surrounded by beautiful scenery and is the home to plenty of wildlife.

You can either take part individually or as a team, with the goal of kayaking 2 laps of the reservoir each day.

It’s free to register, and is open to people of all ages and abilities. However, there is a cost for camping overnight and kayak hire if required.
