Nailsea in Bloom Poppy Appeal 2020

After last year’s success with the Poppy Appeal, Nailsea in Bloom are running the scheme once again this year. The Royal British Legion, who unfortunately will not be able to sell poppies this year due to covid-19, will be supporting.
There will be no collectors with boxes in supermarkets, shops, pubs or schools by the local branch of Royal British Legion, and instead the appeal will be carried out by the supermarkets themselves. This is organised by the Headquarters of the Royal British Legion and the Head Office of the supermarkets.

Sponsor a poppy

Residents sponsoring a poppy will be able to have up to four names written on each poppy in memory of a loved one and there is a minimum £5 donation per poppy.
The large poppies are placed into one of four beds Nailsea in Bloom look after in the town. Proceeds will be donated to the appeal. The Poppies will be placed in the beds from Thursday 22nd October and will remain in the beds for four weeks.
Forms will be available at 65 High Street and the Tithe Barn. The forms can be left in the box, found just inside on a table at the Tithe Barn, with their donation in an envelope.
