Nailsea Lions Club Open Lions Green

Nailsea Lions Club conducted a brief opening ceremony for Lions Green, the piece of land outside of the Sapphire Lodge residential home next to the Town Centre car park, on Wednesday 13th February.

Together, the Lions and the Town Council, with a donation from Cllr Phillip Barclay, have installed a bench system and pathway, which was officially unveiled on the 13th. The year 2018 saw the centenary of the first Lions Club being formed in Chicago, USA and they wanted to mark this milestone with a gift to the people of Nailsea and chose to help fund the creation of Lions Green, its bench and footpath.
