Nailsea Lions Club’s Father Christmas Fundraiser Goes Virtual

Each December, Father Christmas tours Nailsea and Backwell to raise funds for local good causes. The Nailsea Lions Club annual appeal is a popular festive event that gets the local community into the Christmas spirt.

This year, due to coronavirus restrictions, the float is not being used. Instead, money is being raised online using JustGiving.

The money raised by the Lions Club goes towards charities and good causes, as well as the Nailsea Foodbank. It is especially important this year that the Lions Club continues to support these charities where possible, as their own fundraising will have been disrupted due to the pandemic.

Last year the Lions Club managed to raise nearly £6,000! Consequently they were able to support 25 local charities with donations.
