Summer Holiday Activities for residents and their families to try!
The Summer Holidays are almost upon us but don’t panic! To help parents prepare, we have come up with a handy plan for all of the fun activities you can do with your family, over July and August, this year. But don’t fear! Many of these activities can be done at home, or in your local area!
Our plan includes great activities such as:
- Easy baking recipes to try at home– Banana bread, Rice crispy cupcakes and butterfly cupcakes. All with a small amount of ingredients!
- Crafts to try at home– Butterfly spoons, owl hands, jungle craft rolls, rainbow binoculars, paper plate dream catchers and button trees!
However, would you like to be out and about with your family this summer? Why not try..?
Nailsea and its surroundings boasts an array of picturesque outdoor locations and walks that are perfect for family outings and picnics. Our suggested locations are:
• Ty Sculpture Trail at Towerhouse Woods
• Nailsea Heritage Trail
• Stockway North Nature Reserve
• Backwell Lake
• Nowhere Woods
• Moorend Spout Nature Reserve
- Taking part in our Neighbourhood Treasure Hunt on the 9th August!

- Portishead will have an Open Air Pool day. Under 3’s go FREE! Tickets for older children will cost £5 per person!
