The Uplands Development

North Somerset Council has approved the development of the land to the South of The Uplands, Nailsea  (20/P/2000/R3). North Somerset Council owns the land and has proposed to build 52 dwellings, plus a substation building on site. Nailsea Town Council objected to the land being developed, along with over 150 others  who took the time to comment on the application. The application was debated by North Somerset Council’s Planning and Regulatory Committee yesterday (17 Feb 2021) and the Town’s District Councillors submitted strong arguments as to why the site shouldn’t be developed. A vote was taken by the P & R Committee with 7 in favour and 5 against approving the application.
