Golden Valley is a large primary school in Nailsea with around 420 pupils arranged in 14 classes. Hannah More Infant and Grove Junior schools share the same site and have worked closely together for many years. The 1st March 2012 was a historic date marking the start of the formal Federation of the schools. Hannah More started her first Sunday School in the nearby Tithe Barn in 1791 thereby providing the foundation for both schools. Hannah More wished to serve the local community in order “to benefit the Parish of Nailsea in its most important interest – the education of the rising generations” and this lives on 220 years later in the strong partnership established through the federation.
