Musical duo’s back in Nailsea
A duo who wowed music lovers in Nailsea with a night of classic songs are due back in town.
Kate McNab and John Telfer treated a sell-out audience at the town’s Little Theatre to an evening of their favourite hits this time last year.
Now they’ll be performing at the Union Street venue again – but for two nights not one.
They’ll be on stage on Friday 25 and Saturday 26 May, re-creating classics from Sinatra to Carole King and from Ella Fitzgerald to Elton John in their own inimitable style.
Said Kate: ‘We’re very happy to be coming back to Nailsea.
‘The Little Theatre’s a lovely, intimate venue – and the audience there really loves its music.’
Jazz singer Kate is a former member of the Sweet Substitute harmony group.
She and musician, singer and composer John are also known for their acting careers.
Kate’s oral history shows such as ‘Doodlebugs and Bogeymen’ and ‘Mrs Gerrish’s Guesthouse’ have been delighting audiences since 1997.
And John – who also plays Alan Franks, Vicar of Ambridge in Radio 4’s The Archers – is ex-Bristol Old Vic.
The two also combined in 2015’s two-hander ‘The Very Thought of You’ and their touring dinner theatre show, ‘Fanny & Johnny Craddock’.
Tickets for their two Nailsea shows – at £12 – are available on 0777 298 1037.
