Nick Hamilton developed his passion for gardening, aged 9, when

His father purchased a derelict garden centre in Kettering. He worked with his dad at weekends and during school holidays. After training at Writtle College in commercial horticulture, Nick worked closely with his father in the family business at Barnsdale Gardens, which he continues to run as an inspirational garden.

On Saturday 23rd November at 7.30, Nailsea Concert Orchestra will be performing a classical concert at Nailsea Methodist Church, including Dvorak’s New World Symphony and Bach’s Oboe Concerto in F with soloist Mircea Mutulescu. The orchestra has gone from strength to strength in the last two years and recent concerts have played to a full house! Tickets are available from Nailsea Music Shop and on the door. £12 adults, £10 concessions, £2.50 under 18s.

Every Summer, the community of Nailsea comes together to watch the colourful spectacle of the Nailsea Carnival. With floats and walkers taking to the streets of Nailsea, it’s a great opportunity to see what Nailsea has to offer. The carnival finishes at Millennium Park, where there is an afternoon fete, including dance, children’s rides, a car boot and more. It is a great day for the community of Nailsea to get together!

A free two day family event that features a static motorcycle display in the back garden of the Ring O’Bells pub, motorcycle related trade stands, live music at the front and children’s entertainment (including bouncy castle and face painting). The event is completely non-profit and every penny raised goes to the Children’s Hospice South West.
