Elizabeth Sawday grows roses on the Chichester plain in a little village called Apuldram. Elizabeth fell into rose growing by accident. After the birth of her first child, she began helping her mother in law who had started Apuldram Roses a few years earlier. They got their first gold medal in 2009 at Hampton Court Palace Flower Show. Apuldram Roses grow 35,000 roses, incorporating 200 plus varieties.

A free two day family event that features a static motorcycle display in the back garden of the Ring O’Bells pub, motorcycle related trade stands, live music at the front and children’s entertainment (including bouncy castle and face painting). The event is completely non-profit and every penny raised goes to the Children’s Hospice South West.

Every Summer, the community of Nailsea comes together to watch the colourful spectacle of the Nailsea Carnival. With floats and walkers taking to the streets of Nailsea, it’s a great opportunity to see what Nailsea has to offer. The carnival finishes at Millennium Park, where there is an afternoon fete, including dance, children’s rides, a car boot and more. It is a great day for the community of Nailsea to get together!
