A Night of Jake Thackray

Jake Thackray was a singer-songwriter, hugely popular in the 60s and 70s. His songs were funny, sad, tragic, rude. In short – unique.

Jake sadly dies in 2002 but his songs live on through John Watterson; the UK’s foremost interpreter of the wonderful wordsmithery of Jake Thackray.

Doors and bar open from 7:15pm, for an 8pm start on Saturday 6th April.

Café Create is a bimonthly performance and open mic evening set-up to promote local talent! Whether you’re an aspiring singer, comedian, entertainer or simply want to get up and perform a poem or tell a story, a variety of acts are welcome.

The event is free to attend and takes place on the 3rd Friday of every other month at The Trinity Centre, with doors opening at 7:30pm. There is also a fair trade bar café, serving a wide range of refreshments. Come along for a great evening that brings together local talent, music and entertainment!

Organised by 2nd Nailsea Scouts. Each year starting on the 1st of May, The Millennium Park (opposite Tesco) is transformed into a lively fun fair perfect for family days out. As well as a large amount of fair ground rides, the event provides up to 150 car boot stalls and culinary options for everyone.

Every Summer, the community of Nailsea comes together to watch the colourful spectacle of the Nailsea Carnival. With floats and walkers taking to the streets of Nailsea, it’s a great opportunity to see what Nailsea has to offer. The carnival finishes at Millennium Park, where there is an afternoon fete, including dance, children’s rides, a car boot and more. It is a great day for the community of Nailsea to get together!
