The Rock Project
Musical rock club
Rock School for ages 7+ teaching Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums and Singing! Two-hour weekly sessions (term time only) running at Nailsea School. Learn songs in your one-hour lesson then play as a band with an end of year gig at THE FLEECE, Bristol. All abilities welcome and instruments can be provided. There are two age groups: Juniors: 7-11 & Seniors: 11-18.

Nailsea & Tickenham FC are a local football club who compete in the Somerset County Premier League. Originally two separate teams, Nailsea Town and Tickenham United merged in 2015, and combined their efforts to create a new club that the local community would be proud of.

N&BRFC currently run 2 Senior squads and an occasional 3rd Team and Vets squad.
The Youth Section spans Under 6 to Under 11( Mini/Midi), and Under 12 to Under 18(Junior). The Club welcomes new players, boys and girls, there are also non playing memberships available.
Open every Saturday for Senior games and 10am Sunday mornings for junior Section.
The Clubhouse can be hired for special events, and hosts skittles, Running Club, Boxing Club and MG owners club.

Ageing well is a programme managed by Age UK Somerset and it is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of older people. Organising events, activities and sessions in both Somerset & North Somerset, we have something to suit everyone. We run two classes in Nailsea, a chair based exercise class for less able adults and a Tai Chi Qi Gong class – if you would like to find out more, please get in touch.

Scotch Horn Leisure Centre, Nailsea
Le Roc, also known as Modern Jive, is a very easy to learn partner dance. It is versatile as it can be danced to all types of music from Awing, Blues, Latin, Chart and 50s through to Modern.
Although it is a partner dance, we welcome everybody to the class whether they are on their own, with a friend or with a partner.
It is sociable, fun and, of course, is a form of exercise so keeps you fit.
Nailsea & District Croquet Club
Croquet club
Nailsea & District Croquet Club is a friendly and vibrant Sports Club, catering for all levels of ability in both Association Croquet and Golf Croquet. The croquet handicap system enables players of differing standards to have meaningful games against each other. Nailsea is prominent in the croquet world and frequently hosts top level tournaments, including national events. Beginners’ lessons are given to small groups, usually in the Spring. Children from the age of 8 are coached in our Junior sessions and several of our youngsters have reached the World stage.

This session is open to everyone of all ages, abilities and from all walks of life. It’s a gentle fun, friendly, fantastic way of getting fit, whilst learning new skills and making new friends. It doesn’t matter if you have never played before or have had a break, you are welcome to come along.
Takes place at Scotch Horn Leisure Centre on a Friday, 12-1pm. £3.00.

Back to Netball provides a gentle introduction for female players over sixteen years of age. Sessions are coach led and cover basic skill development and court play. The emphasis of these sessions is on learning new skills and having fun playing netball with friends.
Mondays at Nailsea School 7:30pm £3 or Fridays at Scotch Horn Leisure Centre 1pm-2pm 3:30.
Backwell Camera Club

Backwell Camera Club has a reputation for friendliness and our meetings are a mix of social and photographic enlightenment. It is an active club and has varied subjects at each meeting. We meet each Thursday at 7:30 in the WI Hall near the Backwell traffic lights. Expensive camera kit or experience is not a prerequisite, just the enthusiasm to improve your photography.
The Backwell Camera Club also accepts requests for coverage of community events for their publicity or members benefits.

Nailsea Cricket Club was founded circa 1856 and has been one of the leading club sides in North Somerset. In 2020, we will be running two Senior sides, playing on Saturdays in the Bristol and District League. We also have a Senior side of over 40’s who play a number of friendly fixtures throughout the summer. We also run the popular All Stars programme for Under 8’s and, with parental support we hope to run other youth teams up to Under 15 level.

We are a friendly and sociable club based at Nailsea & Backwell Rugby Club. We are very proud of our members who range from adults who have just started running for the first time to ultra-marathon competitors. Since our foundation in 1986, our club moto has been ‘leaving no runner behind’.

Accessible transport for elderly, frail or have a disability

Nailsea & District Community Transport provide a fully-accessible minibus service for passengers who are elderly, frail or have a disability which makes travel by public transport difficult or impossible. We run a fleet of seven fully-accessible minibuses. Each minibus has a built-in tail lift, can transport a wheelchair-using passenger and has space to store folding walkers and shopping trolleys.
