‘Quartet’ Treat for Nailsea

Drama fans in Nailsea are in for a treat as the town’s Little Theatre raises the curtain on its 56th season of plays.

Ronald Harwood’s ‘Quartet’ will take to the stage from Monday 15th to Saturday 20th October at the group’s Union Street home.

The bittersweet comedy about four ageing opera singers is set in a retirement home for musicians.

The question is: will they ever sing again?

A film of the play, directed by Dustin Hoffman, starred Pauline Collins, Billy Connolly, Tom Courtenay and Maggie Smith.

The Little Theatre’s production is directed by Graham Tyson.

It’s the first of three plays in the group’s 2018/19 season. Two more are scheduled for February and May 2019.

Tickets at £10 are available on 0777 298 1037.
