Upcoming events in Nailsea this Winter

With Winter upon us and the festive season fast approaching, we have compiled a list of events and activities to keep you busy and hopefully keep you warm too during the colder months.

From Bonfire Night to a variety of different Christmas Fayres and an array of other events and occasions; it’s going to be a busy winter in Nailsea so make sure you don’t miss out on any of the exciting festivities and celebrations in the coming months.

All of the events listed are great fun for the whole family and guaranteed to keep you and your loved ones entertained over the Christmas holidays and into the new year. With so many fantastic happenings coming up in Nailsea, you wouldn’t want to miss out!

   

Nailsea and Backwell RFC Fireworks Night

When: 04 November 2023, 6:45 PM

Where: Nailsea and Backwell RFC

Bonfire Night, also known as Guy Fawkes Day, is an annual celebration that commemorates the failure of the Gunpowder Plot of 1605. Make sure you don’t miss out this quintessentially British tradition but joining in on the festivities at Nailsea and Backwell RFC.

This will be the biggest fireworks event organised in and around Nailsea so be sure to book your tickets as early as possible due to high demand for the event.

He gates will open at 5:30 p.m. and the fireworks display won’t start until 7:15, you are however advised to be inside the venue by 6:45 p.m. at the latest.

Old Nailsea’s fabulous Christmas Fayre

When: 25 November 2023, 10AM – 3 PM

Where: Holy Trinity and Tithe Barn

 If you’re looking for a great Christmas Fair that has that sense of spirituality and nativity, then Holy Trinity Church’s annual Christmas Fair is the perfect way to celebrate Christmas this year.

Situated next to the Ring O’ Bells pub, the Holy Trinity Church and Tithe barn are the perfect venue for a Christmas Fayre in Nailsea.

 There will be loads of activities and entertainment that are suitable for the whole family such as activities for children, Tableau and there will even be live music!

The Fayre itself will be made up of craft stalls selling classic Christmas food and drink options to help create a truly festive experience that you wouldn’t want to miss out on.

 

Nailsea Annual Craft Fair

When: 11 November 2023, 10AM – 4 PM

Where: Nailsea Methodist Church, Silver Street

The Nailsea Annual Craft Fair is returning for another great exhibition of local art and crafts from members of the local community, small businesses and independent traders.

There will a whopping 45 stalls on show on the day meaning you’re sure to be spoiled with loads of different art and crafts. There will also be activities for children so the whole family can enjoy the occasion.

The Annual Craft Fair will have food available with various options such as homemade cakes, the famous bacon baps and an all-day café which will serving a range of popular food and drink options.

Nailsea and Backwell Horticultural Society – The spirit of Christmas

When: 13 December 2023, 7.30 PM

Where: United Reformed Church Hall, Stockway North, Nailsea

Katherine Kear will be joining us and giving a talk and demonstration as we prepare for the Christmas festive season.  Come along and enjoy the friendly atmosphere and free festive activities

Admission is £2.00 for members and £3 for non-members

      

Spectrum65 Art Exhibition  

When: 17 November 2023 – 18 November 2023

Where: 65, High Street, Nailsea

 The Spectrum65 Art Group will be showcasing their work at 65, High Street, Nailsea, between 10am and 4pm on Friday 17th November and Saturday 18th November 2023.

There will be a wide spectrum of art on show by artists of all levels along with, and not to be missed

A little bit about 65, High Street

65, High Street is an informal drop-in venue provided by the North Somerset Council for anyone wanting advice and support in an informal and non-judgemental setting. It’s widely used by a variety of local groups and services in the Nailsea community and beyond, including the Spectrum65 Art Group, which focuses on community wellbeing through art.

There will be tea and biscuits for visitors, we hope to see you there!

 

65 High Street

As a public living room, 65 High Street is a welcoming, non-judgemental space for the Nailsea community. There are regular events and activities taking place throughout the upcoming months so take a look at what’s on at 65 High Street to make sure you’re in the know and don’t miss out on anything.

Whether you’re looking to join one our fantastic local community groups like the Nailsea knitters and Techno Timid or you just want to have a chat with the ‘Men’s Talk club’, 65 Hub High Street is the place to be.

There are even events where you can voice concerns or provide feedback on local services such as the monthly drop in from Healthwatch North Somerset. This initiative is about listening to your feedback about local health and social care services. They can also offer you information and guidance about services that could help you or your loved ones.

The Dates for their drop-ins over the next two months will the 20th of November 2023 and the 18th of December 2023.
