Major roadworks cause 2 week closure for Station Road

Major Roadworks on Station Road, Nailsea between 30th July – 24th August 2018.

A major scheme to include; road resurfacing, safety improvements, new speed limits and traffic signal refurbishments at Backwell has been programmed.

The works are programmed during the school holidays to minimise disruption.

The works are due to start on Monday 30th July under temporary traffic lights for one week, then two weeks of a road closure (diversion via Nailsea, Wraxall, Cambridge Batch and vice versa) then a further week of temporary lights. All works should be completed by Friday 24th August.

The works will be carried out between 8.30am – 4pm Monday to Friday. The temporary lights will be manually controlled during the first week whilst we optimise traffic flows. The closure will be lifted each evening and at the weekends.
